Ceramic Coating Aftercare
Tips on how to maintain your coated vehicle
Ceramic Coatings Aftercare
Ceramic coating will help your vehicle look amazing for longer and make it easier to wash. A ceramic coating on your vehicle doesn’t mean you don’t need to wash it. Maintaining your vehicle in the correct way ensures your ceramic coating will continue to perform for the lifespan of the coating.
The performance of your ceramic coating depends on a range of variables i.e. how the car is stored, the weather conditions where you live, the types of surfaces you drive on. All these impact on the lifespan of your ceramic coating. You should refer to the ceramic coating manufacturers website for their specific maintenance requirements.
These simple steps will ensure your ceramic coated vehicle remains in the best possible condition.
Wash Frequently
At a minimum you should wash your vehicle once a month.
Hand wash with pH neutral shampoo
Do not use automatic car washes, hand wash with a high-quality wash mitt and always use a pH neutral car shampoo with no added wax. Shampoos with wax may leave a residue on top of the coating, which will reduce the hydrophobic properties, leading to more debris sticking to the vehicle.
Dry your vehicle
Drying is a key part of any washing process; you don’t want water to sit on exterior of your vehicle. Use a high quality microfibre drying towel.
